Money as a system of power?
Historically, money has taken many different forms, such as precious metals, coins, banknotes and, more recently, digital systems. However, despite this formal evolution, the monetary system has maintained one constant: control over the creation of money has always been in the hands of a very small number of actors.
As a consequence, current monetary systems allow money to be created without limits, which leads to inflation, structural inequalities and a progressive loss of trust. In this context, the question is inevitable:
Is it possible, then, to imagine a different monetary system, one that is fairer and aligned with the real needs of people?
For this reason, cryptocurrencies emerge as an alternative based on decentralized systems, without physical backing or direct institutional control. Nevertheless, many current cryptocurrencies continue to reproduce the same dynamics as the traditional system, such as speculation, accumulation of value and high environmental impact.
IDEA
For this reason, the key question is not whether we need a cryptocurrency, but rather what conditions a cryptocurrency should meet in order to truly make sense.
The proposal is based on seven essential principles:
- Justice and universality, as tools for economic equity.
- Transparency, ensuring that all transactions are verifiable.
- Stability, avoiding extreme volatility that prevents everyday use.
- Real utility, linked to the exchange of goods and services.
- Discouraging accumulation, in order to prevent the concentration of wealth.
- Environmental sustainability, minimizing energy impact.
- Decentralization, without control by a single actor.
In this sense, we are talking about a cryptocurrency that cannot be printed indefinitely and that, moreover, maintains its value based on work, effort and real contribution to the economy.
STRATEGY
From this perspective, the project is conceived as an open and collaborative process.
In fact, rather than a closed solution, Criptomoneda with Purpose is an invitation to collectively imagine what an alternative, ethical and viable system of exchange could look like. The development of the project is based on:
- Co-creation of ideas.
- Critical debate on economy and sustainability.
- Progressive construction of a model applicable to the real world.

RESULT
The project has materialized as a conceptual proposal and a shared framework for reflection through public content and open debate, putting forward new ways of understanding money, the economy and the exchange of value.
